"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." Mark 16:15
The Field -

Mexico is a large country of over 100 million people.
89% of Mexicans are Roman Catholic. As a result, they are never taught about God's free gift of salvation. Instead, they are taught salvation comes through the church, good works, sacraments, etc. If you have any questions about the doctrines of the Roman Catholic church, I highly recommend the book
Understanding Roman Catholicism by Rick Jones. You can view and order this book by clicking

The Children -
As a result of the deep poverty, abandoned or homeless children are common throughout Mexico. Many children also become homeless due to the excessive drug and alcohol habits of their parents. It is estimated that there are approximately 2-3 million street children in Mexico. Due to the sickness, hunger, gang activity and danger, the average street child does not make it past the age of 15! Most of these children live on the streets or in horrible situations thinking they are alone and without hope. These children desperately need to hear of the loving kindness of the Lord Jesus Christ! The People -
Many people in Mexico face extreme financial difficulties. They also face the many problems that living without Christ brings. However, these people need more than material things- they need to know the riches of Christ Jesus and His wonderful gift of salvation!Co-workers -
Iglesia Bautista Victoria (Victory Baptist Church) was started by BIMI missionaries Jim and Judy Joines. After Bro. Joines passed away, the church and ministry were eventually turned over to Pastor Jorge Diaz Ballinas. Pastor Diaz was a graduate of a Bible College in Mexico started by the Joines family. The church average 100-125 people and is located in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico. The Joines were missionaries from my home church in Georgia and it is with their work in Mexico that I have always been involved. In addition to this church, there are also several American missionary families in the Saltillo area. Within 10 minutes from my house (and the site of the future children's home) are several veteran missionaries and ministries... Mark and Cindy Ernst (serving in the cities of Saltillo and Arteaga), Frank and Joan Jones (serving in the Saltillo area), and the Mexican headquarters for Directline Ministries (founded by Bro. Paul Deem of Ohio). My own mission board (Macedonia World Baptist Missions, Inc.) also has several missionary families serving throughout Mexico. For information concerning these missionaries, please contact Macedonia (www.mwbm.org) or our Mexico Field Director, Bro. Fred Kindhart (fred@kindhart.com).
