Adopt-A-Kid

For the last 8 years, I have been working with the Hispanic population in the area around my home church. Every Wednesday we run a children's class as well as a teen ministry. I am very attached to these children and leaving them to go to Mexico is very hard! Most of these children do not come from a Christian home. Therefore, they do not get the spiritual help and guidance that they so desperately need. It would be wonderful to know that someone was praying for these kids every week. It makes it much easier to be apart if I know someone else is be praying for them and lifting them up to the Lord.

 

In an effort to help these children, I have started a new program called "Adopt-A-Kid". I am looking for people who would "adopt" a child in prayer. This means you would try to pray for this child at least once a week. This is a very simple way of helping some very needy children!

 

If you are interested, please e-mail me at amyleighm@juno.com Please let me know if you would like to adopt a boy or a girl. Also, specify what age you would prefer- elementary, middle or high school. When you send in your request, I will e-mail you the name, picture, and basic information of the child you will be adopting. This will allow you to know best how to pray for your child. I will also include information on how to e-mail or write your adopted child.

 

These precious kids need your help. Some of them have a rough time and prayer would make a huge difference in their life. They are very excited that people will be praying for them. I thank you in advance for you help.
